Our host is going through a lot of the same feelings atm. He has been diagnosed and rediagnosed with DID and yet he still struggles to believe he has the DID diagnosis and belongs here. I tend to agree with hylierandom that denial is a really good coping strategy that is reinforced by external people. However we have seen several of your posts which mirror many of our own experiences which leads me to think you belong here.
The external world makes the core/host personality to be a freak. However in reality it usually tends to be the case that we are extremely gifted in many areas and know how to keep ourselves and others safe.

It's not up to you, Michael, to tell me or anybody whether I am faking or not, or whether Hopeless is faking or not and thus either qualified or disqualified from this group. Maybe I think you are faking. anybody can say they are diagnosed but show me the doctors report. And then show me how that qualifies you to sit up on some high horse and judge the rest of us.
