just wondering
On a positive note it is good that dssociation is becoming more common. Hopefully one day in the near future people with severe forms of dissociation will not need to hide in their homes and can be treated in the same manner as someone who has asthma or a heart attack.
Nobody in my family or friends had pointed out any notice of my dissociation, whether they noticed or not I don't know. Except the one time in a Bible study class, and one (very ignorant) person there asked me how my demons were doing. I asked her why she thought that, and told me because my voice whad been changing. I wasn't aware of it.
Also, it looks to me like several of my other family members dissociate too. And, since I get to be the family scapegoat, they of course are not aware of what I've seen in them, either.
But it's also a classic reaction to shock as when something happens and we say "I just can't believe it", or "oh, no, oh no, not this!" . Some things just take longer for our brains to process.
