i'm thinking of deactivating FB. I friended an old friend recently. Two days she posts something. And this guy comments on it. But here's he thing. The guy , I know him, he raped me. She knows this too. I guess she never really believed my story somehow. Anyway, if he looks at her friend list, i'll be there (private info of course) but still there. Creepy. Now I want to delete myself. But why should I give up everything? Or should I defriend her?

June, sounds unsafe to me. I would not stay connected to anyone who had a connection to someone who had s**ually abused me or for that matter who had abused me in any way. With FB sometimes the person who you think you are talking to is not necessarily the one you are truly talking to.

Dualforce- I think you are right that the connection is risky. But I think it is her on my page. She just posts stupid comedic quips and gets tons of comments. His just popped up and I was like what the hell? Why is she friends with Him? I was thinking of ending FB anyway. Maybe this is my excuse. It is the ultimate timesuck.

You are absolutely right Moonface.I am now searching through this detectives ton of fake friends on facebook to see if the other abusive detective that revictimized my daughter is her friend also.

June, not to scare you are anything but facebook was a major reason why my family(and other abusers) were able to reconnect with me and manipulate and abuse me and my daughter.This of course was before I knew I was multiple and still in denial but before creating a facebook account I had all but completely disconnected from all of them.With facebook they were able to worm they way in closer to me and began to manipulate me. It is a good tool for social networking(and for me finding abusive narcissistic detectives lol) but if you have a family like mine your guard has to be constantly up when using it. juneflower, i had a similar thing happen to me...it's a tough one. remember, u can block anyone, even people who are not your friends. you could find every abuser and block them, i don't think they can see what you comment if u block them.
