...Over the past week or so, Toby has been showing us what happened to him.
The terror, despair, and urge to die...that was his. We were all feeling it in here.
...He tried to kill himself. He took us outside and tried to sleep in the snow. But it hurt his feet too bad.
...He felt bad that he couldn't stop the father from hurting us by taking us out of the world.
But he's just 6, you know? He was just a little boy, he's done the best he could...and he doesn't have to hold that trauma for the rest of us anymore.
We can hear it now...we can love him for holding it for us, saving us. It was pretty awful, what he held for us.
We made him an igloo outside the house. He's not inside the house anymore, waiting for the mother to leave with dread, knowing what would happen once 10 pm rolled around.
He's warm and safe in his magic igloo. Nobody can come see him who can hurt him.
...So I'm mentally hugging him and loving him, and so Is Katharine.
That's all he needed, was to be safe and loved.

it's been almost a week now
how's Toby doing now? Are things becoming better?

The outside world is being a giant pain in the butt right now.
We have gotten a car loan pre-approved, now we have to find a good used car...have found one to look at on the far side of town.
and thats also good news about your car loan. I hope the one you're going to look at is suitable for you. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. A new car was always exciting for me, irrespective if pre-owned. Actually, i only ever had 1 brand new car in my life, but had lots of good ones
