Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to make sure that everyone is aware of that are many programs that offer assistance for copays for us. One website to look into is www.NORD.com. The income limit is high, which makes it easier to apply and get approve. There are many more. I have BC/BS and for the past two months, my bill is about 2K, not including prescriptions. So, that will help ease the burden. I just approved for the full 10K and program runs from July - June, so I can reapply again this July.

Thanks for sharing Kathy. The link you have took me somewhere else. I think the link you are looking for is www.rarediseases.org. It's for the National Organization for Rare Disorders. The expense with this disease is astronomical and any help is appreciated!

Thanks for the posting the correct link Bob. I wanted to make sure that people are aware of the resources out there. This one also pays your insurance copays as well.

Hi everyone, thanks for the good info.

I just went to the site though and searched under Programs & Services, and then -Patients Services section, and scrolled down to Copay Assistance - but i did not see that they cover Multiple Myeloma. (i saw various other cancers/deseases, but not MM).

Perhaps i'm looking in the wrong place?

They may be out of funding at this time. Please call the 800 number listed on the site. I think it may fall under the Lymphoma catergory. The next enrollment period is July.

Are there international funding? My mum is a patient in Singapore and a bone marrow tranplant alone costs about USD40,000 without including the hospitalisation fees. She has no insurance.

I'm sure there is. Your best bet is to start your search online and to also contact the local cancer center. They should be able to send ample information about the various funding available.
