Multiple Myeloma Support Group
Multiple myeloma (also known as MM, myeloma, plasma cell myeloma, or as Kahler's disease after Otto Kahler) is a type of cancer of plasma cells, immune system cells in bone marrow that produce antibodies. You sound like a trooper and a good attitude is very good medicine!
That potassium drip was pure torture, but I made it. I'm going to stock up on my supply of juices.
Thanks for the tips.
Kathy
I havent checked post in a while. How are you doing?
Ed
I'm doing okay. Still tired, which sucks since I haven't been on any Chemo for well over a month. But I still keep moving. I haven't been back to the docs yet, that will be next week. I'll keep you posted.
Thanks,
Kathy
I will keep you posted.
Sorry to hear about PN. Are you taking any Neurotin? Will you be able to travel like you had wanted this summer? We will be praying for you.
Ed
I'll still travel this summer as planned. For me, I just keep it moving. I'm not taking anything for my pn, with the exception of Vitamin B Complex and massages help a lot.
Kathy
I'm scared to start another drug. If it gets too bad, I'll breakdown. It's bad now, but I don't think I tolerate another pill at this moment. I also don't think I'll be on Velcade this time around.
Kathy
I've been taking Vitamin B Complex as well As luck would have it, I'm back on Velcade this round. I'm still extremely tired since the stem cell collection. My white blood count is still low. The collection was in May. But, I know it gets better with time.
I was speaking with another support group who told me to try Vicks Vapor Rub for the PN. When I will try it, I'll let you know how it works out. Right now, the PN is not so bad since I'm back on the Chemo.
Kathy
How are you? Have you been vacationing yet. The week before last we went to see my daughter and two grandchildren (Malichai & Victoria Rose) in TN. It was hard to leave them. Are you still doing Rev.
I am taking a break from it for the summer, maybe longer. It feels good to feel good.
Ed
I just came back from Universal Studios. I rode all the coasters and then some. Had a great time. It's good to hear from you. I know that Rev is a butt kicker, so it's good that you're getting a break. I have one more round of treatment and then I get to come once a month. I'm plugged in now (chemo) as I'm typing.
Keep me posted and enjoy Life!
Kathy
