Good to hear from you : )
Are you still recieving Revlemid?
I Thank God every day that I can get out of bed, greet family, eat, work, and pay bills (well...maybe not so thankful for that : )
Ed
During the time I was sick, I stopped taking Rev and haven't started back. I will start again this weekend. Don't want too. Glad to see you're still doing well.
Kathy
I hope you had a comfortable break from treatment. sorry to hear you were not feeling well some of the time. My back and neck has been feeling a little better, I went for a visit to my general practitioner and he recommended taking 2000mg of fish oil and Glucosamine per day. It seems like it has helped some.
We are having a nor"easter storm tonight. There is 2-3" of snow on the ground at this time with more to come. I think we're in trouble this year, we are starting early for winter : )
I have been working full time since end of Feb. At this time I am working 6 days a week usually. Have to pay those insurance premiums : (
I usually work Sat on an apt house that I am renovated. It is very distressed and not habitable at this time. We bought it for very little at least a year before getting diagnoised. It has turned into quite a project and at times a burden. It has been good rehabilation for me getting stronger.
I have dreaded the coming of this winter, but so far am adapting. I have started wearing my flannel lined jeans working and they are so toasty. Last winter was so hard after transplant, I was so sick and cold all the time. Of course my body fat was proably pretty low. Before diagnoisis I ran 177-180# and during the worse part I was down to 145#
But I feel so much better, I dont want to think about last year : ) My back, neck, hips, and knees are feeling better since doing fish oil and glocusomine.
Have you started back on Rev? I do not seem to have permanant PN. Once in a while my toes or feet will bother me. The worst which is not bad is I sometimes thing I feel like I have lint ball in my sock when walking, but not all the time : )
Hope youre feeling better Kathy, remember to bundle up. I heard that they got hit bad down in your area with the noreaster?
Ed
I'll start back tonight on the Rev, I'm dreading it. i have permanent PN in my feet. I know exactly what you're talking about when you say ball in your sock. I too feel that sometimes. speaking of insurance premiums, did you apply for the grant. They will also reimburse you for the premiums you pay for yourself only for health insurance. Even if you apply now, you can go as far back as July 1st.
Thanks for the info, I didnt know that insurance premium could be covered. I am paying $1126.50 per month. Half of that is my share. I know that doesnt sound like much but....
I will have to buckle down and take time to apply. I was under the impression that the money got used up quickly in this program.
I will be praying for God's protection on your body, mind, and spirit. I just wated to leave you with this Word of encouragement
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. Revelation 21:4 NKJV
I look forward to that day : )
Ed
Thanks for the words of encouragement.. They are very much appreciated. Yep, don't forget to apply. $500 is a lot of money. I'm paying that for family coverage, which is a lot to me.
Keep in touch,
Thanks
