Vancomycin for Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcu

I received the full 14 day protocal of IV Vanco for sytemic MRSA following cancer surgery. It\'s very harsh and every day I could tell I was weaker. I went into septic shock with pneumonia, severe anemia, and etc. Meanwhile the Vanco % in my system rose to 30% and I reacted with the Red Man\'s Syndrome.
I almost died from the MRSA and certainly the Red Man\'s Syndrome was extremely unpleasent, but after my 14 day treatment was up, my blood cultures were negative for MRSA so I have to feel the Vanco did its job.
I\'m facing a triple bypass in January and my biggest fear is MRSA raising it\'s ugly head again from possible dormant bacteria. If so, I\'d do the Vanco again because it was effective before.
