FOR ALL YOU NINERS FANS,
THE BLIND SIDE, again. I find the story compelling. And then, I dreamed it two days before the game./
Guess I am a wench, er witch.
I love this movie so much. Young Marky Mark, Young Phillip Seymour Hoffman, young(er) Burt Reynolds (he stole the show), Julianne Moore, Heather Graham as Rollergirl, and most exceptionally, What the hell is his name? Uh, The guy that is married to Felicity Hoffman. Dam, it's on the tip of shels very long tongue.
Little guy Macy, that's it. William Macy.
If you have seen this film, the two most profound scenes in this oscar winning flick are when Macy commits suicide, and the very last scene. As Mark, aka Dirk Diggler, steps before the mirror, and, well, if you've seen it, you remeber it. HUGE Ending.
I watch this movie every time I can. Weird thing is, when It came out, I was living in SF, and didn't go see it right away, as I usually did, when new movies came out. Okay, I am officially at the "going on a tangent" stage, so I better stop now.
Huge Ending.
I miss Dexter.
Burt REynolds, bless his heart, did steal the show, didn't he? Haaa! What a perv.
Okay....a movie I can't not watch.....Dr. Strangelove......Peter Sellars was brilliant as was Sterling Hayden as General Jack D. Ripper. Looooove this movie.1964 at it's best. Kubrick rules!
Love Strangelove too.
Have you actually seen Boogie Nights Shels? Fess up.
I miss emmitt.
I movie I MUST watch if I come across it is An Affair to Remember with Deborah Kerr and Cary Grant. That was such a great film, and I love that they talk about it all the way through Sleepless in Seattle.
Another one is Ninotchka with Greta Garbo...Great, great film.
Gladiator
Hi all!!
Cyn, glad to see you!
"This Property is Condemned" with Natalie Wood....poor thang.....and Robert Redford. I love this and get teary every time I see it.Excellent film.
How were the Grammy's Tinder? They aren't on yet here....I don't like Taylor Swift any more....overexposed, IMO. I hope she didn't take all the awards again. I want Kelly Clarkson to win "album of the year"....but, then again....I don't get a vote. Waaaaa.
I meant to say Silkwood, not slickwood. Gladiator rocked.
Shels, I can tell you one thing. Grammy's rocked! and no spoiler alerts, but you will be very happy with your little Texas Tornado.
I am totally in love with Bruno Mars. Teeny man can sing! I love the way he moves. His regaee is so good. Super show, I imagine you are just beginning to watch.
I loved Julianne More in my boogie nights too. She was awesome. have seen this movie so many times, and not just for Marks, uh, well, you know.
looooved the Grammy's......blew thru Taylor Swift's act on my dvr...sick of her...."I wil never , ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, get back together with her again" Haaaaaaa!
Moving on. There is nothing "teensy" about Bruno, tiny Tripod maybe, lol. I am only 5'4"
Me too, sick of Swift singing songs about her stupid love life. We, will never ever ever, listen to her stuff again, ever. Never, Ever. Sick of it.
LOVED Beyonces dress. Did you see the part when she and Ellen were presenting, and Ellen waa all up in B's face? B looked nervous for real.
I miss Bruno, he's going to call soon, I have to go now.
Wait, what game are we playing, what topic am I in?
Movies, right. That we can't not watch. Let's see.
I got one. The Birdcage, love that one... Good enough for you Toaster?? Wench.
Walter will be cooking soon,
Nurse jackie will be tending our wounds again soon, and
Dexter will be sleeping with his sister in September. The Toe and I have been lost without your snarkiness and panache! Do stay, help me Minaj bash.
Also love "PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT." Guy Pierce makes a beautiful woman. The other two, not so much, but I watch this flick everYtime it comes on. A most excellent classic. Love films from Australia.
Just gotta mention the tie-in between Muriel's Wedding and Priscilla -the big Abba connection. (Besides them both being Australian.)
My BF Greek Wedding,
Toe Fiction
Cusster's Last Stand
Saturday night Fever
Hey am I in the SSSS Section by mistake? Sorry guys, my bad.
carry on.
Love them all.
