Motherless Daughters Community Group
For any daughter who has lost their mother, whether through Death (if it's been one day ago or 40 years ago) or Abandonment, (i.e.-drug abuse, mental illness, physical or emotional abuse, etc.) and is working through the grief process. This group provides unconditional support and understanding from women who have also lost their Moms and who truly care.

I have made a pact with myself this year that this Xmas will be different. We moved into mum's house to help dad cope with her death and last year we used her Xmas tree. I went out and bought some new decorations to mix in with hers. I want my kids to see me at least smiling this year. They deserve it.
Huge hugs, we all know what you're going through

This year I decided to follow some of those traditions but w someone else...my daughter. So we have been baking together for the past 2 weeks. During the holidays we are going to try to replicate some of my mom's classic dishes... she can't be here physically to share in the experience but I believe that she can be there spiritually and this way the traditions have a way of living on.

My Mom and sister have been gone almost two years now. It is so hard without them, I know how you feel.
I agree with Suezzie, its good to cook with other family members and try to create some of the same dishes your Mom made with you.
