Motherless Daughters Community Group
For any daughter who has lost their mother, whether through Death (if it's been one day ago or 40 years ago) or Abandonment, (i.e.-drug abuse, mental illness, physical or emotional abuse, etc.) and is working through the grief process. Hi Everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has experienced anything they have considered to be a sign from their Mum.
It's coming up to 5 months since my Mum died, and I have had some incredible coincidences happen. I know I desperately want to believe Mum is still with me and am obviously looking for signs, but these coincidences are astonishing. My daughter was born 2 weeks to the day after Mum died as well and the whole night in hospital and the next morning machines and lights would stop and start working.....the midwifes were baffled, I was sure Mum was there somehow, I desperately needed her to get through the labour. For the first 2 weeks after Mum died when I went in to check on my 3 year old before bed, his room was icy cold, so much colder than any other room in the house. A few weeks ago I went to a bakery that Mum discovered and went to often, they had a signature sponge cake that appeared at every family occasion and get together. While I was there the song that I chose to play to a DVD of Mums life at her funeral came on completely randomly. And it was Bobby McGee by Janis Joplin - not one you here every day. There have been a few other astonishing coincidences, and they seem to occur when I have reached my lowest point and am feeling desperate.....Do you think this is a coping mechanism, or something more?? Logically it makes no sense I know, but intuitively I really feel like Mum is still very much with me and my family....
Just wondering if anyone else had any experiences like this, and what your thoughts are?

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
