Motherless Daughters Community Group
For any daughter who has lost their mother, whether through Death (if it's been one day ago or 40 years ago) or Abandonment, (i.e.-drug abuse, mental illness, physical or emotional abuse, etc.) and is working through the grief process. This group provides unconditional support and understanding from women who have also lost their Moms and who truly care.
I know this website is for us losing our Moms.....
I lost my Mom and Sister 15 days apart from each other January 11th and then January 26th. Both unrelated and both unexpected. (although both of them had medical issues)
I miss them both.. I feel cheated because I lostmy Mom and then I saw my Sister for a couple of days (she lived in Kansas since 1989) and I hadnt seen her for 7 1/2 yrs anyway, I told her I loved her and she was my best friend and I HATED seeing her leave to go back to Kansas! She said dont cry Rock... we will see each other again. Then the next Saturday she died in her sleep!
I am sorry... I am grieving for two.
They were my family....

You are so right, life is short and we never know when it might beour last day or oneof our loved ones last days...it is hard and we need to try to be on good terms with all we love but thats hard too... I dont know.

I know what its like to lose your mum but then your sister as well... I am truly sorry.

I understand. And I'm glad you posted this. I've been having it rought the past couple of days, over both my parents. I didn't expect to lose my Dad six months after my Mom even though they were both elderly. But the past two days, I'm crying about my father - recalling him before he got sick...I won't detail it but he really needed more help than I gave him - so, I'm feeling guilty I didn't do more - weeping my apologies to him out loud. I didn't need this added burden right now. But I understand grieving for two - each differently.
I felt the same about my Mom. I didnt really let it sink in how sick she was, I feel guilt too. I should have taken care of her. I apologize to her too.
Yes, losing two family members that were your childhood family is so hard.Especially when the losses are so close together.

Yes it is called Motherless Daughters, but we certainly do not mind one little bit for you to talk about your sister.
