For people who are CURRENTLY morbidly obese by definition. 100 + lbs overweight. If you want to talk about things without being judged or pressured by skinny people telling us how to lose weight, then you will be welcome here. Not meant to be an angry group, but a emotional support group. Please no harassing or bullying. Thank you.

Not having a good week :(

to begin with, i strained my back and woke up a couple days ago not being able to move with out having excruciating pain. i had to see the doctor, and rest this week. at the doctors i found out i have high blood pressure which really makes me sad. i HAVE to get this weight off. Im going to focus on my healthy eating and look into starting a water aerobics class because its hard for me to get much exercise being this big. right now i just feel sad about my blood pressure being high and my back being injured. cant wait to get back to normal.

Sorry about your back, hon. But, maybe it was a blessing in disguise so you could find out about the problem with your blood pressure. I'm dealing with the high blood pressure thing too. I also found out about mine by accident a few years ago. I had gone to the doctor because I had a horrible case of the flu or something. The nurse took my blood pressure, then said, "...other than your flu symptoms, are you feeling ok?" And, I said, "...well, yeah. Why?" She goes, "...because your blood pressure is 170 over 110." OMG!! I'm on medication for it now, but, I've noticed a change in my readings since I've started my weight loss program. (Down 36 lbs since last July). Before, my readings were about 130 over 85. Now, they're in the 117 over 73 range. So, losing the weight definately makes a positive difference in many areas.

I know you can do this, hon. Time goes by so fast, and you'll see good results as time goes on. Just hang in there, believe in yourself and don't give up.

thanks for the encouragment. i cant wait for my back to feel better so i can feel like myself again.

I work out in the pool 3 days a week and it really makes me feel better

Our pool is closed for the winter - but this summer? You can bet I'll get up with hubby at 5 am to go out there and do some laps every morning. I love swimming.
