Mononucleosis Support Group
Infectious mononucleosis (also known in North America as mono, the kissing disease or Pfeiffer's disease, and more commonly known as glandular fever in other English-speaking countries) is a disease seen most commonly in adolescents and young adults, characterized by fever, sore throat and fatigue. It is caused by the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) or the cytomegalovirus (CMV)....
EBV is a very common virus. most people are infected by EBV some time in their lives. Abt 50% of the american population are infected by EBV, and stay very dormant.
It is the same class of virus as the Herpes virus. Surface as cold sores or thrush and skin rash or yeast infection, such as candida. If left untreated,EBV can invade the spleen, gallbladder and Liver. worse senarios they surface in the glands as lymphoma.
EBV or the herpes virus can be controlled by drinking Pau D'Arco tea.
I suffered constant cold sores as a teenager. After a week of detox with pau D'arco ( also know as lapacho). the cold sores never came back.
EBV virus wrap itself with a coat of protein and hide in our blood stream, they will surface and create havoc in our organs when the immune systems are down. It is not a mystery disease. Early and constant detox is the best way to stay healthy.
However, have you heard of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome? Lots of same symptoms as mono. ( EBV).
I have mono with out complications.

There are many other alternative natural treatments available. Be diligent, do your research.
eg. colloidal silver is a great simple treatment to keep virus and bacterial in check. Take a tablespoonful or 30 mils, hold it under your tongue for couple on minutes before swalllowing it. It treats gums disease at the same time and kill other bacteria in the guts at the same time. Take it 3 x a day for 2 weeks, then stop for 2 weeks. Repeat. It got rid of HP ( Helicobactor Pylori) too. How awesome! Cheap and good.
Mono is a very long term thing that bugs your glands. It normally stays very dormant. Its not a death sentence, just annoying, can mimick other diseases, that throw you off course. Just like like Mono, Hemochromotosis (iron overload) it mimicks all kinds of diseases. So get your iron/ferrin levels checked too. Hemo, usually surfaced when menopaused. The Mono virus attack you spleen and pancreas previously, so your iron absorption in the digestive department goes haywire.
I get the heel pain when Iron is overloaded. So I went for a hemo DNA test, It turn out negative but my ferrin levels is very high, iron over loaded. Iron overload can mimick Fibromyalgia and CFS, arthiritis, heart disease, etc. just like the Hemo.
To deal with my iron overload, I learn from the hemo people, eat a iron free diet. NO liver, no red meats, no cereals laiden with added folate; no fruits or vit Cs with meals; drink lots of coffee and teas with meals to block iron absorption.
Ha! have fun, we are in for a long ride. Nothing is impossible, Be diligent, We can conquer all things.
Cheer up!
