Hello,
I am new to this group. I found it by looking for a support group for Mom's with sons in prison. My only child was arrested and placed in federal prison on 3/16/2015. That day will forever be in my mind. I will always have burned into my mind the image of my son holding his head down in shame as they placed him in handcuffs and led him out of the courtroom. He was given 10 years with 15 year supervised probation. I feel that I was convicted. I live in my own prison, no guard, just prison. My entire world centered around my son. He left us with his wife and 3 kids, one was borned after he was in prison. I still cry and will probably cry until he is home. My life will never be the same. I blamed myself, my husband blamed himself, my mother blamed herself. We did nothing. We have always been there for Mike. He made the decisions, but his decisions affected the entire family. I visit him every 2 weeks, which takes a toll on me. I email him 3-4 times each day and on special occasions he will call me. He saves he calls for his wife and kids (they need him more than I). It's really hard to watch the kids grow and see how much of their life my son is missing. Sometimes I just don't want to even be here. It tough at times. I don't believe in taking one's life so I will suffer till Jesus calls me home. I hope that I find support from this group without judgement and I hope that I can help support others. Please pray for me and my family.

Cry all the time, My Grandson whom I raised for 20 years went to Prison for 25 years, for things that could have been handled through family, but no they took it too far, now his in prison for 25 years. He has Cystic Fibrosis, Bipolar, He has psychological, Physical, & Lots of Health Issues.
Can some one help me understand and how to cope, I'm giving up on life.
