Hello there :) Well to answer your question, yes you will be able to be intimate again. Once you're lesion free, monitor your previously affected area for a month, and if you're still Molluscum - free you can go back to being intimate!

In the meantime, DO NOT: have sex, take baths(only showers), touch your lesions and then other parts of your body, put any cream on it, especially body lotions. Here's why:

MOLLUSCUM LOVES WET AND WARM PLACES. It's the perfect environment for it and it reproduces insanely fast in these conditions. So keep it dry!

Keep in mind that you should not touch your daughters lesions at any time, especially not if they're bleeding. Wash all your clothes that get in touch with the lesions regularly, including towels and basically anything that gets in touch with them.

Now for the removal method. You can get them freezed off with liquid nitrogen by your dermatologist, which is the second best method. I wouldn't recommend it though, especially if the lesions are located in your genital area, since the doctor might miss one or two, which is more than enough for them to reappear in clusters all over again. What worked best for me was manually removing them with tweezers, by firstly making a small hole at the top of the lesion so that you can expose the white matter that is inside the bump, and then pulling it out. After that, you should make sure that you got all of the white stuff. Here's how you can tell: if a lot of blood comes out in the form of a bubble, you probably got all of it. In any way, wipe the area with rubbing alcohol a few times and see if there's nothing left in the lesion. Once you got all of it, apply a cotton pad soaked in rubbed alcohol using pressure till the bleeding stops. Should be a couple of minutes, depending on the size and faze of the lesion. Once it stopped or almost stopped, apply some hydrogen peroxide, clean it off with gentle tapping and apply a bandaid on it. Repeat for each lesion, constantly cleaning your hands with a hand sanitizers and cleaning your tweezers after each lesion.

YOU MUST REMOVE EVERY LESION. If only one of them remains, it most likely will cause others to appear, and that's a risk you're not willing to take.

This is by far the fastest method available. Keep in mind that after you remove all the lesions, new ones might appear, each time less and less till they're down to zero. It is extremely important that you remove them as soon as you see them.

Oh and yes, the method is not painful at all compared to the freezing one, and it doesn't leave scars, whereas the nitrogen one might!

Our 6 year old son has had MC since February - it's now June. We've been told it can last from 4 months to 5 years! I live in Canada and my granddaughter, who is 10 and has diabetes, and then her 4 year old sister, got this ailment. We were told it would go away on its own, which we all know is a fairy tale! My sister is a homeopathic doctor, and when my granddaughter's lesions became so itchy, ugly, painful and plentiful, and after I had tried just about everything suggested online without success, I called her.
