Cimetidine cures Molluscum Contagiosum

Our 6 year old son has had MC since February - it's now June. We've been told it can last from 4 months to 5 years! We have tried everything - epson salt baths, apple cider vinegar, lemon myrtle, tea tree oil - you name it. But it seemed like the virus just needed to run its course regardless of treatment. BUT then his pediatrician just prescribed Cimetidine one week ago to be taken orally each day. I don't know if the virus has run it's course and it's naturally ending or this medicine is really working but all his molluscum on his arm and on the back of his leg appear to be scabbing up! That sounds about right. The scab will fall off, don't pick at it. And skin is back to normal.
I went to a dermotalogist and they sprayed the affected areas with nitrogen. It doesn't hurt.
The pimple area will scab and fall off in about 2-3 weeks.

I was wondering what dosage your doctor perscribed? Tagamet worked for daughter who had a severe case of 300 lesions but it doesn't seem to be working for my son. I had to order it online as in Canada it is only available by perscription and our doctor refused to perscribed it. :( I have tried everything and nothing seems to be working. I just want this nasty virus to go away.
