Miscarriage Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have experienced the traumatizing event of a miscarriage or a stillbirth. Miscarriage remains one of the most common complication of pregnancy, but that doesn't make it easy to deal with. Join the group and find support in the company of others who know what you're going through.
I'm so sorry you feel like you have wasted your time on here! I myself do not come on this site regularly (normally just when I've found out I'm not pregnant that current month) which is probably selfish just coming here for support when I need it........but I honestly think things like this can easily consume your life if you let it.
I hope you are feeling at least a tiny bit better than your last post and know that I genuinely feel horrible you did not receive any support on here when you needed it most.
Have you considered going to a counsellor? I know its not for everyone and you may have only wanted to 'vent' in the moment but speaking from experience....it is a sense of some relief to speak to someone (who is disconnected from your personal life) on a regular basis.
Anyway, I hope you are OK and this has not put you off reching out to others about your feelings.
All the best xxx
Like Blackrose said I also feel bad that you haven't gotten the support you have needed. I have been checking this site every day, but when I see I have no new messages I don't stay on here for long.
I quit my job today which I believe is partly due to the stress of my third miscarriage in May. I have low blood pressure and have been having seizures related to that and the stress. So it looks like I will have a lot more time on my hands, at least until I am well enough to find another part time job.
Feel free to message and vent to me anytime. I need to talk about it too, with actual people who have experienced it. I don't know about you but talking to myself about it just makes me crazy and I wouldn't wish that or any of this on anyone.
I am in the same boat, as you and many of us are on here. I just want to be a mom again. I have a daughter who is 12 and I just want to give her siblings.
I am very sorry to hear about the miscarriages. The same happened to me, and it's devastating. However I was 3rd time lucky and I have a 22 month old baby girl. I was 32 when I had her.
I would get some basic tests carried out. The main ones being the test for blood clotting, and the progrestrone blood test.
Look at the miscarriage association website and Google miscarriage testing. You will see what investigatios can be carried out. If money is tight, then get the main tests done, there the ones I mentioned below.
Also what blood type are you. Google Rh negative in pregnancy. If you're negative, then u will need the injection, check this out.
Once you have these important tests carried out, then try again. If it was tobhappen again, then there more tests u can do, there quite expensive, but hopefully it won't come to this.
As I was searching the web for answers to my own miscarriage questions, I came across your comment. I just wanted to let you know that your story and the story of others has really helped me through my own experience.
One of the things that I found completely baffling during my search for answers to my miscarriage questions, was how spread out information was on the internet. The only thing that really helped me was reading through other women's forum posts and blog comments. However, I had to search for hours to get the answers that were relevant to me.Everything from signs of a miscarriage, to what to expect during, emotionally how will I feel after, what symptoms should I expect to experience after the miscarriage, and so on. I was left asking why this information wasn't already available from one source.
What I think is missing from the majority of the studies that I came across is accounting for critical pieces of information. That is why I have tried to create a comprehensive questionnaire to poll women who have had a miscarriage.
Miscarriages are generally a topic that people do not want to talk about or think about, and when it happens to a woman, she is left wondering whether it was her fault or something she had done. Together, I firmly believe that we can shed more light on this "taboo" topic and help inform women that they are not alone, and that what they are experiencing is common and normal.
Again, I am really sorry for your loss and hope that you can take a few moments tofill out this questionnaire. The results will go a long way towards helping other women know what to expect and help make the process, should they be going through it, a little less frightening.
