When I was stressing before sleep I tried breathing exercises - like I've done in yoga. It helped a bit I think.
I'm sorry for your loss and hope that you can find some peace.
I didnt want to go on sleeping pills because I tend to have bad side effects with prescriptions so I went to a health food store and found many different natural products to help sleep. They actually worked.
I had a great nights sleep and I stayed on the natural pills until I felt ready to try without them.
Hope this helps.
This is something I have struggled with for a long time and my current situation is just making things a lot worse.
I am sorry for your loss, and i hope you can find a way to help yourself feel better.

Also, if this continues, please consider going to the doctor. It is possible that some hormones can get out of balance after a m/c. These hormones can affect your circadian rhythm, which is your natural rhythm within your body. Good luck and again, I am sorry for your loss.
If you can, stop all caffeine and try to exercise if you can bring yourself to it. I was still laying in bed or on the sofa most of the time around 4 weeks.
I am sorry for your loss and it's still early - so this sounds normal to me. Hang in there.

Yes, I too had problems sleeping. As soon as I found out about the miscarriage, I immediately asked to be put back on Welbutrin (which I was on a few years prior to getting pregnant) because I knew that losing our baby was something I could not deal with on my own. So, for about a month, I couldn't fall asleep until 3 or 4 am and have to get up at 7 to take our daughter to school. I didn't know if it was a side effect of the welbutrin (because for many antidepressants, insomnia is a pretty common side effect which goes away). After about a month, I started sleeping well again - but then after a few more months, the problems sleeping started again.
I didn't know if you had taken any antidepressants along with your sleeping medication - if so, it's something to look into. But you will find your peace... it just takes time.
