It makes me sick.
I have to say, we never had the intentions of "playing house" nor did any of the young angel parents I know either....... Yeah, many of them didn't mean to get pregnant. But they loved their babies and now they still love their angels...... And just so everyone is clear, a good portion of the teen angels parents I've talked to WERE using some sort of birth control method when they conceived... So it's not like most of them were trying to get pregnant because they thought it was cute or funny.
Before anyone goes ranting and raving about teen parents, look at all the "adult" parents who treat their children badly... abuse them, neglect them... My own mother abandoned me when I was 14 for 3-4 months so she could go smoke meth with her "boyfriend" and left me to raise two younger siblings and pay for our bills & food........ At FOURTEEN...... And I did just fine AND stayed in school........... Many of these "teen moms who want to play house" like this girl from Teen Mom- she would have been a bad mom at 19 or at 30...
It isn't about the age.
Yesterday was one year since i lost my angel after two years of ttc and today is one year since i started watching 16 & pregnant & teen mom. I know most people suffering a loss find these shows hard but i found comfort in the fact that these young girls (most of them) were willing to give up so much to be good parents to their children instead of going to an abortion clinic.
I have watched all of teen mom 2 & Leah is a great mum. She puts her girls first and loves them more than anything, shes been through hell but has always tried to provide for her girls and raise them in a loving environment. Thats a damn site more than my mum ever did and she was an adult who used her children as punch bags.
There is nothing wrong with a young mum wanting more children, its not as though Leah could control who many children she concieved. Some people are luckier than others.
Yes i understand how frustrating and upsetting it is to see people have multiples when you cant even have one, ive been there myself having lost two angels but i dont think its fair to judge her because shes young. Shes a great mum and she deserves her children as much as we do, atleast after watching the show you know she will love and protect her babies.
She has really struggled with her daughter that has disabilities and health issues and she has not made the best decisions, but she has been put under a spotlight where everyone knows her every move.
Though I was also irritated that she was pregnant again, I am very sad that she has miscarried. That's not something I would ever wish on someone. :(
