I just went through my first miscarriage. And even though things did not end well, I am still a believer in not giving up hope. It was a several week long process w/the dr. anticipating a miscarriage. Giving me a 5% chance at one point. And though I grieved terribly even before the loss occurred, I still hold out hope for a miracle. There are stories of miracles out there so I wasn't going to fully believe it was over until it was over. I didn't get to the point of seeing the baby and the heartbeat. Only the gestational sac. And my hcg kept going up. It got up to 18,000. I am hoping that your ER dr. was wrong. I would be more trusting of your own ob/gyn's opinion at this point. B/c how would the ER dr. know what to compare your hcg level to if this is an ER visit? Know what I mean? There's a wide range of normal when it comes to hcg levels. I don't want to give you false hope, but I also don't want to tell you to give up. This is a special life you created and I am right there with you not wanting to let go. I can relate to the feelings of numbness as well. Please keep me posted as to how you are doing. I will say a prayer for you tonight.
