I saw in yahoo searches today that Kim Field ("Tutti" from Facts of Life) is expecting her second child.
And I thought argggghhh.
And I saw she is 44.
More arrrrggggh.
Somehow celebrities get pregnant in their 40s?
But then I realized I don't know what her road has been.
And I read the article and it said that she revealed that she has had 2 miscarriages. And they had been trying for a couple years so she was really shocked when she found out she was pregnant.
I am 40 years old and this story gives me hope.
I will take hope wherever I can find it :) Thought I'd share in case it gives you hope too.
I know we're all struggling with different issues. And we don't know what hers were.
But nevertheless....hope.

Although I could curse you just a little bit cuz now that song is stuck in my head!!!!!
I do like when celebrities come forward (not that they are under obligation to do so...I certainly would not trade my life for all the invasion of privacy they have to endure) and share their real life trials.
And you're right...struggles are universal.
Everyone is dealing with.....something. Even when it may appear otherwise.
I talked to my doctor about all that and she said exactly that - you don't know what they have gone through or what they did to get pregnant. She then proceeded to tell me that a friend of hers was in her mid 40's and now has a child but she ended spending almost $35,000 Canadian for a donor egg.
So at the end of the day you don't know the struggles of others and what they go through to have a child but all you can do is hope and pray that if they are able to conceive that they have a healthy child.
