After reading so many stories similar it makes me think it's a miracle if anyone gives birth to a healthy baby.
At least you know what went wrong, it's not your fault, your body just let you down but there is treatment available. I have a friend who lost 2 babies for a similar problem but went on to have 3 healthy babies afterwards.
Let your mother's comments run over your head. It's not easy to harden up when you have had such a terrible blow. You need time to grieve and talk to people who have been in your shoes and understands your pain. I think that's the worst part, is that a lot of people don't understand. And also you have experienced a death of someone you are close to but don't get to have the funeral, the flowers, the delivered meals, the phone calls etc (although you might as you were further along, I was only 9 weeks so a lot of people didn't know)
Be kind to yourself and talk to a grief professional if you need to. I have found this website really helpful, I hope it does for you too.
Be sure to do something nice for yourself come the baby's due date, my husband and I are going away for ours, the only way I think I could cope.
All the best x
It probably sounds mad, but in my craziness to be active and "make things better", I ordered new floors for my whole apartment, new living room furniture, and have appointments set up with painters/tillers.
So now I have flooring people coming tomorrow and I really need to get back to my Drs cus the meds are messing with me.
And what am I going to do once all my beautifying projects are done?
I'm sorry for your very unfair and very devastating loss. I haven't been that far in a pregnancy, but I can imagine the immense pain and sadness. Open the envelope when you are ready. You will know when it is time and I hope when you do, it gives you some kind of closure
