I think men grieve differently than we do. It doesn't mean they don't care or they've forgotten. In their own way, I think "moving on" is part of their grieving process. But still, it is hard to feel like you are grieving alone. Your baby will live on forever in both of your thoughts and hearts. The love and attachment to that child will never go away. The baby was and is a real part of both of you.

I have to agree. Men are so different in the way they process emotions. I doubt that moving on means that the baby no longer means anything to him. Women tend to hold on to emotions and generally manage to do that *while* they move on and do other things. I dont think men function that way. I dont think they *can* move on in the way that we do if they hold on to the emotions. They are just different, but if the two of you are working on having another baby, then I would say that is a sign that he wants to have one just as you do. Try not to shut him out for moving on, and please dont deny yourself the baby youre trying for. Let him process the way he needs to, and allow yourself to keep lighting the candle if you need to and to hold on in whatever way is important to you. Use everyone here as much as you need. I think we all need girlfriends who understand the emotions better. I know I do. I will pray that you find peace in the midst of your pain and that you find healing on this journey.

I think everyone here has said it best. I would add that what you might need is validation from your husband that he understands and respects the space you've created for your little one. While he doesn't need to participate in the candle lighting and can grieve in his own way, just like you can grieve in yours, you both want to know you're not alone in this journey. And the best way to address that problem is to communicate and listen to each other. Figure out what you need and figure out what he needs and work on meeting those needs everyday.

I agree with everyone. When I left the hospital they gave me paperwork about me grieving and my husband grieving. It said men are wired so different from us. We hold on to emotions harder and stronger then a man does. It doesnt mean he doesnt remember every day about your sweet angel. Its just probably alot hard to talk about.
