I miscarried in August. A girl I work with was due 2 days after me. We work in very close quarters. She didn't want a baby and this was an accident. She cried when she found out she was pregnant and didn't have a stomach virus. She knows all about my situation and yet all she talks about around me is baby this and ultrasound that. I had 2 ultrasounds but they were to see if my baby was alive. How do I continue to work with her without yelling at her to shut up? I don't want her not to be excited but to just have a little bit of courtesy for my feelings. I have talked to a guy at work about it and he agrees with me that it is rude and heartless for her to continue to throw it in my face. She mentions things and then stares at me to see my reaction. I just try to look ahead and ignore her but she isn't due until Feb. I have a little vacation I am going to take but I can't very well take off until after her baby is born. Sorry this was so long. Please Help!!!Thanks!!!

My ex-roommate got pregnant one week after I did. Just ask her that out of respect for what has happened to you, to not go to you to talk about the baby. Let her know that when you are ready to hear about the baby, you will let her know. That is how I was and she respected that. She knew that it was just too hard for me to hear about her baby. Just an idea I guess. Hope it works.

People can be so heartless...she should refrain from talking about it so much to help you in your healing process...My best friend and I were trying the same week..she got pregnant I didn't...I force myself to be nice to her. Let me tell you, it's difficult.

My best friend at work who I share an office with is pregnant. She also talks about her pregnancy all the time, but she became more sensitive after another coworker talked to her for me. I also leave the room when things get too much for me (and it helps me to vent about her on this site).

I know just how you feel, when i was pregnant with my son 7 other family members were pregnant as well, we all delivered a month apart, my son was the only one who grew wings, some of them were great others didn't seem to care, you really need to say something to her or get someone else to, before you do lose your mind, she does have the right to talk about her bub but you also have the right to feel the way you are and she needs to respect that

I can relate to your story all too well. The girl across from me is due Feb 5th and I would have been due the 28th. She didn't know I was pregnant though. My favorite story was last Thursday, when she was complaining that she got toothpaste on her shirt. It had hit the belly area. She was complaining about how she hates this stage where food/other items start hitting her belly. Then she had the nerve to say to me - 'But you wouldn't know what that's like'. It seemed to echo in my ears and I didn't know what to say. I mustered up enough to say you're right and walked away. I'm tempted to just tell her what's happened. Maybe she would think before she spoke. But then I look at your story and wonder if she would even change. Hang in there. My only piece of advice is to wear headphones and listen to some music. I've found it hides some of her conversations. That's all I can offer at this point. Good Luck!

My friend was about 6mos further along than me when I miscarried at 9wks, we were complaining about our preg symptoms together one day and the next I realized that she'd be having her baby & I wouldn't. She said she was worried, but at the same time constantly complained about being pregnant. Finally I snapped at her because I couldn't hold back anymore. It didn't change her behavior though. She still complains now about her newborn constantly and I try to explain that I would give anything to have her "problems". I guess some people are just to self-centered to really understand. In her mind, they're 2 totally different topics. I hate it because now I resent her & her baby. I don't have much advice except to try to avoid her-I stopped taking my friends calls on my bad days.
