Missed miscarriage and NO HELP from doctors!?

Hello, I just found out that at 16 weeks my baby had no heartbeat. It was my first pregnancy and we had been planning/trying for a year. We are devastated. The doctor told me there is nothing they can do except make me deliver it, but I just cannot bring myself to go through with it. It doesn't look like it will happen naturally, the baby passed nearly 3 weeks ago and I haven't even spotted. I am certain that forcing myself to birth this baby will result in PTSD, I am terrified everyday and cannot eat, sleep, or work. 



Has anyone else here been forced to deliver at 16 weeks? Planned Parenthood will provide abortions on LIVING babies up to 22 weeks, but will not help this devastated mother move on because there is no heartbeat. I guess they don't care about women's health after all! I am so angry and scared and hurt. Please share any advice or experience you have with me so I don't feel so alone.

I'm so sorry that you have to go through this. I had a miscarriage January of 2016. It was extremely painful for my husband and I. But we tried again and we're blessed with a healthy baby boy. He's almost three months now. There is hope even during these toughest of times. It can feel hopeless to go back to square one but take time and when ready try again. I have a friend who tried for years and felt so discouraged and had twins the week after mine. Never lose hope : ) I know you'll have your baby ❤ as for having to birth the child if it's what's best then I think you should go through with it. Be strong and remember that beautiful babe is in heaven full of joy. It hurts us to lose them but they're so happy now we can't even imagine. I believe that with all my heart. It's better to rest them in peace than continue to carry and hold on. Pray and God will give you strength.

Thank you :) I'm trying to be positive and it's really really hard. I'm actually in the hospital trying to deliver my angel now, but it's been 28 hrs with no luck. Please pray for me that I get an opportunity to raise a child as you did!

I have been having a miscarriage for the past 4 weeks now. After the first 2 weeks without passing naturally I decided to remove all the tissue and baby at home instead of surgically, and I was given pills to make it pass. I was 10 weeks, and I wish I hadn't made this choice because seeing my baby in a maxi pad was the most horrific image burned into my memory. We buried the baby in a jewelry box in our local cemetery, but witnessing the passing in this way was traumatic and I wish I had the doctors remove it.
I know you posted this a little while ago, and I hope you've found some peace. I just wanted to add my comment for anyone in the future looking through posts for some help. Be well (((hugs)))

Update: I went into the hospital where they gave me medicine to induce labor. After TEN doses of this medication and 42 hours, they declared it a "failed induction" and took me to surgery to have a D&E performed. I labored for hours and never got to see my baby at all. I don't know if that's for better or for worse. It has been a few days now since all of that and I will be returning to work shortly, but I am still an emotional wreck. Today is the day I have to disassemble the crib and put it into storage which is a devastating end to this roller coaster ride. I only hope it won't remain in storage for long.
