@ hope2012 - We'd been praying when the first pregnancy happened. But I was very broken when we lost that one and my faith grew shaky, as I'd always pray asking for God's protection over me and the lil one in me and I knew God was with me. But that pregnancy didn't last! I tried to believe there was a design in place, it was hard! After much hurting, we started to hope again....
When we were TTC the second time, we'd pray every night, husband and I together. What's more...we'd pray for all other pregnant women (as I then understood how much they needed prayers) and also for couples wanting to have babies.... Truth be told, I'd pray far more fervently for others than for my self... I'd be moved to tears just thinking of couples who're struggling to have just one baby in their arms to hold and love...so my prayers would come straight from my heart. I knew God knew the desires of my heart and one miscarriage was bad enough....He would protect me this time.
But well, I lost the second pregnancy, too...and now I don't know just what to think. We're hurting and it pains us to know that God's taking longer to answer our prayers.
I never thought a miscarriage/s would happen to me. My mom has us four daughters and my sisters too have had kids fairly easily! No history of miscarriage!
I'm meeting a minister tomorrow evening to talk about this. The good thing is that even through all this tragedy, my heart clings to my God....begging him to show mercy on this His daughter.
The story of Hannah is inspiring to me, and I think I'm going to have to pray like she did.
