I lost my baby boy Lukas last month...
My husband has been my rock through this and I thank God for him every day. We have been through two miscarriages and then a year of infertility. Finally months after taking Clomid my body kicked back into gear. I announced to my husband I was pregnant in August 2015. He was so excited and of course he called his mom right away. We did all the planning, the baby bump pictures, etc. It was a few days after we had put the crib up and three days before my baby shower....It was February 16th 2016...his kicks had stopped and I could only feel him roll every now and then. I had an appointment that morning (at this point I had them twice a week because I had been put on bed-rest due to pre-eclampsia) and I noticed the bottom of my belly seemed to drab..even though it has been so tight for months yet now the was only a know at the top of my stomach. I always worry but I told myself after everything ive been through surely God would not take my baby. My mother in law and husband went to the appointment with me...I was supposed to leave a specimen in the bathroom but of course I had to pee so bad I forgot. So then there I was back in the waiting room drinking water while everyone was making a big joke about me forgetting (and no this wasn't the first time). So finally I could pee again...after using the bathroom everyone was already in the room. first the nurse comes in...of course my BP is through the roof then she checks to find my babys heartbeat. She couldn't find it of course due to all the strange little things I had noticed that morning, I was freaking out. so I start to panic and cry. She then says the same thing they all say "im not very good at it so don't freak out, it probably me." so then another nurse comes in and uses a buzzer and STILL CANT FIND IT. They move me into ultrasound...the doctor came in...after finding the heart he turns the screen and says "You see the heart right there? it has stopped beating"... I scream the worst scream I have ever screamed...I kicked the doctor and yelled "we only had two more weeks!" they escorted me out the back and we headed to the hospital. I was so scared...this was my first child. After 48 hours of labor I gave birth to my baby boy on 2-18-16. I love him so much. I reach for my stomach all the time and rub like he is still there. I failed him.

I know how hard this is for you, I just lost my son at 21 weeks, he would have been our first after 3 years of infertility and 6 miscarriages. Its important to remember that you did every thing you could to keep him safe and while you had him he was able to experience love and warmth.
