A Father's Grief
It must be very difficult
To be a man in grief,
Since "men don't cry"
and "men are strong"
No tears can bring relief.
It must be very difficult
To stand up to the test,
And field the calls and visitors
So she can get some rest.
They always ask if she's all right
And what she's going through.
But seldom take his hand and ask,
"My friend, but how are you?"
He hears her crying in the night
And thinks his heart will break.
He dries her tears and comforts her,
But "stays strong" for her sake.
It must be very difficult
To start each day anew.
And try to be so very brave-
He lost his baby too.

I hope this helps.
I have a real problem with anyone who says "just get over it" I lost it when my mother in law told me that and my husband actually stood up to her for me. I would have serious issues with him if he said just get over it. I don't think we would be as far in our grieveing process if he did say that to me.
All i can suggest is that you let him have his own time and space and not pour your thoughts and feelings on him for a few days and focus on your healing. That will allow him to do some on his own too. Maybe he will be more willing to talk if he has had some time to process on his own.
Wishing you luck
This is when I remember how important it is to surround yourself with caring and understanding women. Even if a woman hasn't been through a similar experience, they generally find it easier to empathize.
And try not to be mad at your boyfriend. I find myself feeling frustrated, but this does no good. Some people are easier and better to talk to for certain situations. It can be disheartening to realize your boyfriend, the person who presumably should understand what you are going through more than anyone else, may not always be the person you find the most comfort in. But I encourage you to talk about this with him (how you feel he is not supporting your grief and need to talk), and not give up trying.
