I am so sorry for your loss! I lost a baby last year very early in my pregnancy. So early that I never got a real due date, just a month (September). I had to go through a whole year of special dates--I felt particularly sad on my birthday, mother's day, my anniversary, etc. I guess what I finally figured out was that it was better for me to plan ahead for a day I knew would be hard. I didn't do anything special in September, but on the one year anniversary of my miscarriage, my husband and I went back to visit the place where it happened (the next county) and we said some prayers and had a little ceremony for our child. I had sewn a dress for a little baby girl and I burned it, along with a photo of my husband and myself. Maybe you are feeling too raw right now to do anything, but probably doing something to mark that date as not just another day would help you get through it. And honestly, if staying in bed and crying is all you can do, there is no shame in that. A lot of women have said that the time leading up to that day ends up being worse than the day itself, and that they feel lighter after the due date has passed. Losing a baby is just so hard! There is no way around the pain, just ways to get through.
