Hello All,
I am new to DS hopefully, this will help ease some of my frustration. I had a miscarriage in February and haven't really had the time to mourn for my baby girl. Occasionally, I have my moments where I can cry in the shower or over a load of laundry. However, the story gets worse. When I found out that I was pregnant, my cousin also found out that she was pregnant. We had great plans to be pregnant together. My cousin also works with me for the same company. Anyway, February comes, I miscarry and she is still pregnant. In fact, she is due next month. I love my cousin and I am trying my best to be happy for her. However, there are times when I find myself boiling with anger because she is one baby #2 and I can't even have one. Mother's day was a nightmare and Father's day was terrible because I looked at my husband and felt like a failure. It's as if the closer she gets to delivery, the more upset I get. Of course, I don't tell her any of this. I try to stay positive. Lately, I find it harder and harder to be positive. Oh, did I mention I am planning her baby shower and the godmother to the new baby? I think I am a glutton for punishment. I don't want to hurt my cousin but I feel like I am destroying myself at the same time. It's just too much! HELP!

I am the mother of a daughter who recently had a miscarriage. She presented us with the ultra sound it was a big, happy time. I've never experienced this and feel a sense of lose...can't imagine what she is going though. How can I help her...she poo poo's it and says it happens to many...but there still must be feelings of loss for her. Thanks

I am sorry. Think I placed this in the wrong place....my heart goes out to your loss and pray that you'll be blessed with a beautiful baby in the near future.

I'm so sorry for what you're going through. I also went through something similar. I found out I was pregnant at the same time my niece was. I miscarried and she went on to have a beautiful baby girl. To make matters worse, she named the baby the same name I had picked out. She doesn't know this and I've never brought it up to her. Every time I see her little girl, who is now 5, I remember the baby I've lost. I ended up having 3 more miscarriages. It's understandable to be angry, but you need to remember it's not your cousins fault. I know it's tough, but it will get easier. It did for me. Hang in there!

It's so hard to deal with the world because though ours have been uprooted other's continue to go on. I miscarried a few weeks ago at 17 weeks. It seems everyone I know is pregnant, especially a very good friend. It's hard watching everyone grow when I am not. I am so sorry for how you are feeling.
