Hi everyone I was wondering if any of you have had the genetic testing done and how long it took to get the results back. Its been almost 3 weeks for me and still nothing. I'm tired of waiting. Its been nine months since my last miscarriage, and we are ready to start trying again. I had a pretty bad week with my babys due date being Feb 3rd. But me and my husband are ready to get started again. Please let me know about the genetic testing. Thanks Monica

My husband and I had genetic testing. It took about a month to get the results back. Deu dates are very hard to get through. Mine brought a lot of emotions to the surface.

No, we haven't done the testing thing. I don't have the proper insurance and I can't afford the out of pocket expenses so I doubt if I'll be doing any testing anytime soon.

We did not have genetic testing done on us. Our son was stillborn so they did genetic testing on him. He was "normal" but the test took six weeks to come back. My son's due date is 2/27/08 but I am already starting to feel down. I am so sorry for your loss I hope you have a healthy baby in 2008.

We had it done too and it took about a month to get it back. Hang in there...I know the wait is hard, but I would say that you should get it in another week or so. Have you called the dr. to see if it is in yet?

We did not have any testing done and neither did my son because we knew what caused his death.

I had genetic testing done on my twins and had a complete bloodwork up on myself (although not genetic, ruled out blood diseases and deficiencies). I used a donor so that had already been tested. Everything came back normal. It took about 4 weeks to get the test results from the babies and it took about 2 weeks to get my bloodwork done. Hang in there, it won't be long now.

Thanks for all the replys. I just called the doctor and they said that the cells were cultivating and that they should know something Monday. So I have to call back Monday. I guess thats not to long to wait. But I'm ready to get moving. LoL. Thanks again for all the replys. Hopefully we'll know something Monday.

I have had 3 miscarriages and that's the next thing the doctor wants us to do. I work at a catholic hospital though and they don't cover any family planning services, birth control infertility treatments or tests. I hate it because I love my job but I want a baby and don't know that I could afford the genetic testing on our own. it's also really scary to me, My husband and I are both healthy but I'm said it would come back abnormal or something. My biggest fear is being told that I will never be able to have a baby. If i were you I'd call and check with the doctor. At least he would be able to tell you how much longer. Good Luck.

I got my results back and they were normal. Now my doctor has me on clomid to help me ovulation even though I have no problem with that. Im not really sure why he has me on it. But today is my last day and Tuesday I go back to him to see how many eggs I released. Well see on Tuesday I guess what to do next. Thanks for everyones replys. Monica

We went to an RE on January 2nd after our 2nd mc in a year. They ran the genetic and chromosomal tests. They took about a month to get back. When we went on the 5th of this month they had the results and everything is perfectly normal. Give it another week then give them a call. I've learned you have to be your own advocate and stay on top of doctors no matter how great they are. Good Luck!!!
