It saddens me to have write this but today on visiting my daughters grave I found that it had been covered in graffiti.
What sort of person would do this?
Any comments on how to come to terms with t his would be helpful xx

Oh hun I am so sorry that you are having to go through this. I wonder what kind of person could do such a thing. Have you talked to the cemetery? Have they offered anything to help with the situation? There should be a way to have it cleaned but I am sure that it will cost some money to do it. I just can't believe that someone would do that. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope whoever did this will get whats coming to them. And I hope that you can get past it.

That makes my blood boil. My sentiments exactly Lyssie2...that is bad karma if there is really such a thing. I have personally used a power washer to remove graffiti. I would contact the cemetery and see if their grounds keepers can do anything to make this right. They might even have a power washer...
The Serenity Prayer REALLY helps me in situations like this.

Thank you so much for your kind words, the cemetery are having it cleaned up but I have to pay the bill, I don't mind paying the bill just to have my baby girls special place as it was before

Im glad that the cemetery is helping with getting it cleaned but it is still really sad that you have to deal with all of this in the first place. And have to pay the bill on top of it all.

That is sickning. It actually angers me a lot. Growing up, my parents ALWAYS taught me to respect those who have died- especially children. I'm glad it's getting cleaned up and I am so sorry you had to witness something so offensive. Whoever did that is obviously a very disrespectful, horrible person. Shame on them.

Thank you to everyone. Its a shame what this world has come to, I was also brought up to respect everyone including the dead.

I'm so sorry some *insert swear word here* did that to your lost one's grave!! That's such a low, low thing to do!! I believe very strongly in karma - what you give out will always come back to bite you in the backside in some way or another. Coul you ask the cemetary whether they have security cameras or not? If so, the scum who did this may be on camera and you could report them to the local police or something.

Cemetery vandals are the lowest of low. Somebody stole the statue the rested on my uncles grave. Thankfully it was recovered later on. I'm glad that they are at least having it cleaned up for you, even if they are charging.
