I am going to start taking clomid next month and I've been doing alot of reading on here and it seems that the women that did get pregnant on clomid are at a higher risk of having a miscarriage. Does your risk of miscarriage go up if you have gotten pregnant using clomid?

I wish I had good news for you, but I don't. Clomid does, in fact, increase your risk for miscarriage as it can thin the uterine lining. That said, I know MANY women who have had happy, healthy pregnancies and had a perfect baby at the end, with the use of Clomid. Just be aware, though, that it does increase your risk of M/C. This is a total "herbal remedy" thing, so take it how you will. If you drink hot water with a package of knox gelatin in it on days 10 - 16 of your cycle, it will help build up your uterine lining. It's pretty gross tasting, but it does work. I tried it, I didn't get pregnant because I'm not ovulating, but I had a hell of a period after that month because it had built up more. The next month I didn't do it, and my period was lighter. It was something my acupuncturist suggested. Again, take it how you will. Either way, best of luck to you!

I think I responded to this already but wanted to give you some information. I researched this exact thing after losing my twins in Dec. Clomid does cause the lining of your uterus to be thinner but you can take progestrone to correct that. There is really no evidence that supports clomid causing m/c. If you go on google and put in clomid and miscarriage several different articles come up. Good luck to you. I will be praying you get your BFP soon.

PregnancyThere is a chance that clomiphene may cause birth defects if it is taken after you become pregnant. Stop taking this drug and tell your physician immediately if you think you have become pregnant while still taking clomiphene.
If you become pregnant as a result of using this drug, there is a chance of a multiple birth (for example, twins, triplets) occurring.
I do not want scarry you but think you should consult with doctor.
