Hello everyone. I am at work crying. I feel bad because I'm at work and I have been avoiding my coworker who is pregnant. We were pregnant together she was only exactly one month ahead of me. We use to talk to each other about our pregnancies. I feel bad because she reminds me of how big I am suppose to be. I dont like feeling this way but I cant help it. Also all of my other friends and coworkers are gathered at her desk and they are talking about her pregnancy. I am happy for her it just reminds me of how far along Im suppose to be and Im not. This truly hurts. I thought I was getting better but I feel like all of the emotions I was feeling when I first lost my baby boy are coming back and I am feeling so lonely. Oh Gosh. I just want my baby back. I hate feeling this way.

I'm sorry you're having a rough day. That is a very difficult situation. Your feelings, though unpleasant, are natural. It's especially hard when you know the person well and you were traveling the same pregnancy road together. Be sure to do something extra nice for yourself today. Hope things get better for you.

How horrible this must be for you. I'm so sorry. I wish they would take your feelings into consideration. My thoughts and prayers are with u today. May God wrap u in his arms and cover u with his peace to make it through the day. I am so sorry for your loss

I know where you are coming from. I thought I was handling my m/c fairly well. I started to realize that things we're all on the up and up when I began to feel jealous of two of my friends on facebook that posted their sonogram photos and are due w/i weeks of when I would have been. I noticed things were really bad when I began ignoring a friend of mine when she would talk about her daughter's first birthday party. These cases were of people I don't see everyday so I cannot imagine how you are handling it in the workplace. Know that I am praying for you today and that if you need to talk I'm here

I completely know how you feel. I just spent over an hour at a playgroup where all this silly woman could talk about was her pregnancy even though no one was really paying attention. She is due the week I would have been due. She probably thinks I really don't like her at this point because I avoid her as much as possible because of this. I just can't take hearing all the hallmarks I should be experiencing, especially today with hearing about how she could feel the baby moving and everything. It hurt so much I felt like I was going to throw up. I know it might be difficult but you might want to tell your coworker how you're feeling. I've had to do that with at least one person so far. Hope your day gets better.

I totally understand. I was crying at work today too. I was doing so great at handling the m/c and then a co-worker just announced her pregnancy today. I just don't need one more pregnant person in my life right now. Just know that I'm here for you and we are all going through the exact same horrible feelings. I hope your day gets better!

It's too bad, we can't find a way to "hide" co-workers or family members like we can facebook friends. I know that might sound a little harsh to people who are pregnant, after all, if we were pregnant, we would want people to be happy for us too. However, when you loose a baby, it is hard to be around pregnant women, especially pregnant women who are due around the same time you were supposed to be due. Every time I see a pregnant woman, or newborn baby or hear talk of them, all it is to me is a reminder of what I'm not going to have. I ended up hiding one of my facebook friends because she is pregnant and is due around the time I was supposed to be due. Yes, I'm happy that she is having another baby. But when I see pictures of her pregnant belly, pictures of ultra sounds, or comments about how she is feeling today, I can't help but cringe at the moment. Right now, I'm supposed to be seven months pregnant with my baby boy, instead I lost him in July. I feel for you because I can't imagine having to work with someone who is pregnant after what you have been through. It sounds like your co-workers need to be a little more sensitive and not talk about things like that in your presence, but at the same time, what do you do? I remember a few weeks ago, I was having a good day at work until I was having a conversation with one of my co-workers in the break room. She has a sister-in-law that is due in November. Her sister-in-law apparently lost her job recently. My co-worker decided to share the news with me but instead of simply saying, "my sister-in-law lost her job," she said "my sister-in-law, the one that's pregnant and is due around the same time you were supposed to be, lost her job." I could of slapped her for saying that! I didn't but it still made my day bad. Hoping things get better for you.

I am so sorry you are having a bad day. I had a really bad day last week when my SIL announced she was pg. I did a lot of soul searching and determined that I am happy for those who are pg, but I'm sad for me, and I have to respect that feeling when it comes. Others are not mind readers and have no way to know how we are grieving. Their comments are not about you, they just don't know what it is like to be us, and they can't know because until you go through it you don't get it. Surround yourself with those of us that get it when you are having those bad days. Things will get better. When you don't feel like you have strength, lean on others! Hugs

I don't know how you even went back to work. I dont know how you even look at that woman, I couldnt have done either of those things. I feel like I hate all pregnant women. I dont understand why a teenager who doesnt even want her baby can have a healthy baby ready for her to neglect yet i could not have mine who would have been looked after properly. i dont know how i am ever going to be the same

I hope I can make you feel better and know that you are not alone. I was in the exact same position as you not too long ago. A co-worker of mine was a few weeks ahead of me in our pgs. In the beginning we talked about our pgs with each other. By the way, I work in a small, close-knit medical office so I always saw this person. I am an NP and she is the nurse so we worked together alot. After my mc, it was so tough to be around her. I felt so bad because she is actually the sweetest person. She never spoke about her pg in front of me. Luckily for me she wore scrubs and never really showed at all until the very end. I always hated myself for not wanting to be around her. What was really tough was that others in my office, although I know they did not do it on purpose, would talk to her about pg in front of me or around me after some time. I could always tell the pg nurse felt funny when they would do that. Maybe they thought some time had past and I was OK. But, I was not. I had another mc after that one (my 3rd) and had to see a specialist. I had the worst year of my life. I was so depressed but still had to come to work everyday. I would feel better the days she had appts. and could not be here and I felt terrible about that but on those days I would not be as sad. It was just so tough because we were so close with the timning of our pgs. I started accupuncture which really helped my anxiety, depression and came to a point where I realized that I would probably continue to be sad in this situation but hopefully it would get better. I personally did have to avoid certain situations that would upset me more because that was not good for me. They went out to dinner and surprised her with a gift card for Babies R'Us. I contributed to the gift but knew I could not get through that night without crying so I did not go. I was sort of hurt that no one asked me if I felt OK going emotionally and all. So, I came up with an excuse (part of it was true). Maybe they knew why and understood. They have all been supportive otherwise. But, a lot of them have never had a loss so I can't totally blame them for not understanding. I was like this also when I knew of others with mc. I could never know what it was like until it happened to me. This pg nurse had an mc so I think she definitely understood. That goodness she was so good about it at least. It was hard enough to get through. Then, when she was leaving everyone was buying her their own gifts. I thought, "not another gift!" I knew there was no way I was going into a baby store to buy something so I had to avoid that situation or else I would be too upset. I decided to buy her a photo album at a general store. It was a lot easier. Then at this point, I started to feel better about it all and finally felt as if I was not as upset and was moving on. I still feel a bit nervous after all I have been through in the past year saying this but I am almost 20 weeks pg.now. Hoping it all works out. Just try as hard as you can to get through this tough time. Do what makes you feel better. I had to take care of myself for once in my life. If you need any support I am here. Was this your only loss? Not that it would be any easier but if not and you need any advice on seeing a specialist, I am here. Good luck, I will keep you in my prayers.
