hi my name is jessica its a blessing that you have the heart to want a lot of children,but maybe god has another plan for you. since you already have five have you ever thought to adopt. there are alot of children who need that kind of love and who dont have the parents who really want them. but if you cannot, pray it does wonders i lost my first two two years apart and im now five months pregnant even though theres nothing you can do to bring the lost back god is there and he always knows whats best. in whatever you decide i wish you the best of luck and you are in my prayers

I'm sorry for your losses. Don't lose heart though. If you want another baby then go for it. I have been through my share of losses and have decided I still want to try again. Best of luck to you and congratulations on your wonderful children.

I come from a family of 6 and if it is in your heart to have another one then I say go for it. I am kind of in your shoes. I have 2 kids and I wonder if a 3 would be to many for me. But after the loss that I just had I am not sure I want to take that chance again. I wish you all the luck with whatever you decide

You are not that old! I have 3 kids and like you, I suffered miscarriages in 2007 and 2008. I am 36 and now almost 17 weeks pregnant again. I am definitely more tired than I was when I was pregnant with my youngest (3 1/2 year old), but I don't think I am too old yet. You still have time if you are not ready to decide, but only you and your husband can know what will work for your family, with regard to how many you have the energy and resources to care for. Girl... too old? I am 39 and having my second baby and having two miscarriages. Miscarriages happen... there are 9 things that have to happen in order for an embryo t o implant... 9... that's a lot. Then to have them miscarry well, I know it's hard, but things weren't right. My miscarriages were a Trisomy 8 (which is VERY uncommon as they never implant let alone survive for 7 1/2 weeks they attribute the baby surviving that long because I so wanted a child. It was our first pregnancy.)

Then we had our son, perfectly normal bouncing and rip snorting boy!

Then we had another miscarriage, a Trisomy 22, which is the second most common reason for miscarriage. Which wasn't "consoling" but in a way it was as it wasn't an uncommon one like our first. In light of that I felt comfortable trying again.

Honey, you have to do what you want to do... and as I told another woman yesterday... here's the best advice I can give you:

The good news is that you have children & DH and you believe in prayer and asking for what you want, and if it is God's plan to have another child you will be blessed. It may mean that there is another plan in the offering for you, and only time will tell.

Your love for your family is the most important and all the blessings that come with it.

The best advice I can give you is to love every minute of your life, the good ones and the bad ones, because you are building character and that's the gift you give your children. To encounter disappointment and then to overcome it is an achievement not many people can put on their resume. Being able to teach your children that bad news is just news, and that faith and perseverance is what life is all about. You are strong, healthy, and have a marvelous spirit. I will pray for you today in a very special way and then we'll see what the good Lord has in store. No Matter What, you will survive and be the BEST, Wife, Mom, Friend, Person....you can BE!

Sorry to hear about your losses. In a similar situation I have 2 and have always wanted 4. I have have m/c with D"&C last May and this month (with a 2nd D&C just yesterday). This repeat D&C this time has really got me thinking about how badly I want those other 2. My kids (5&7) have said in a round about way that they wouldn't mind adopting a couple of older kids. But I keep hoping for those babies. I'm only 31, but am thinking that taking a year or so off before trying to go again. You really aren't too old. You could take a little time off from ttc and see where it takes you. I don't know your convictions, but I don't use traditional birth control methods, so it's more work to hold off, but it works to plan things when you're ready to start again. I guess that's part of our thing with wanting more kids. Good luck to you as you try to find the right answer for you and your family. God bless you.
