Can someone explain to me why HCG needs to get to zero? We have been ttc to concieve for three years, then had a miscarriage and now the doctors will not do anything to help us until the beta is at zero.
I have been trying to research why, but have not come up with an answer...and everytime I go for a blood test to check the doctor is not available to answer the question for me. So I am hoping someone here can.

There's also the simple practicality of being able to tell when you're pregnant. I had that happen to me too - I thought I was pregnant again when I got a positive pregnancy test a couple months after my m/c, but it was just residual hormones from my m/c.
