Hi I'm Isabelle I recently got married to Kyle hes a Marine and was recently deployed for his third tour of Afghanistan. It was different when we were dating and he was on tour, but everything changed when he became my husband and my daughters father. Without him I probably would have died without him and his intervention with me and an abusive relationship he saved me from. Its been two years since then and I have been extreamly happy since I've been with him and hes always been there. I wish he didn't have to do this tour I can't stop worrying about what will happen I don't want to worry Fluer(my daughter) about what could happen while hes overseas. I want him back in my arms and holding like we used to. I can't sleep and my depression is going through the ringer. I want to be the calm rock that my daughter and Kyle need to talk to but there's no way that can happen, I can't even bluff. I guess I just wanted to tell someone that might understand where I'm coming from... oh I don't know all I know is that Kyle should be here instead of Afghanistan.

Prayers for you and your daughter. I pray for all our military and the sacrifice that the families make. Have faith and may the Lord give you the strength to be healthy and take care of yourself so you can be a healthy mom for your daughter.

I know what you feel in a way. Not 100% but some what. My husband has been gone almost a year now. My depression was bad at the start. The best thing you can do is keep busy. Buy lots of books if you like to read, start a hobby like knitting and make him things to send him even if he wont use them. Make lots of care packages. It hard and not something we like but we must deal with. If you need anyone to talk to message me.

I don't think anyone can understand what you are going through better than other military wives. My husband is in the Army and has deployed 4 times. It never gets easier. This last time we were stationed in Germany and our son was 4 weeks old when he left. There were days where I would put the baby to sleep and go to the other part of the house and just let my anger out by screaming or crying. I wasn't angry at my husband for leaving, I am not sure who or what I was angry at, but it would overwhelm me at times. I tried to make a schedule and stick with it but that go so monotonous that it didn't really help. It's definitely a scary and HARD thing to go through.

Though my husband has yet to deploy we have be seperated multiple times by his many trianings for months on end with little communication. Even though he was not in any serious danger I can understand being constantly worried about him. Plus having the extra responsibilities without their help, its like being a single mother. It is hard.

I completely understand what you mean when you say that it was different when you were just dating him and how things completely changed when you got married and had a child together. It really is a whole new level of worry and anxiety when there are children involved. When my husband and I were first starting to date, he deployed for the first time to Iraq, and while it was horrible and I worried all the time, the next two deployments were much worse becasue we had kids then. My husband is deployed again now and he left the day I was discharged from the hospital from having our second child. It was HORRIBLE coming home and him not even being here the first night with us. So, I am sorry to say that it doesnt get any easier as far as worrying any less about them goes. All you can do is pray and keep yourself busy until he is able to be back with you and your daughter again.
