My husband deployed a couple of months ago so I moved close to family for moral support and company. My sister really wanted me to come home to be close to her because we have always been close even when we were thousands of miles apart. Since I have been back though she has not wanted to really spend time with me. If I do not make the effort to call her or go to her home, she doesn't bother calling or coming to my house (we live within walking distance of each other). She only calls when she is upset about something, or when she needs to borrow money. I try to be there for her because I don't want her to feel like I don't care. Unfortunately, that is how she has me feeling. Since my husband has been gone, one of my sons had to have surgery and the other has been going to therapy for his speech. (He is three, and his speech is completely incomprehensible.) She is aware of this but doesn't seem to care about how my sons are doing, or about how I am feeling. I am just very hurt and feel very alone. I wish now that I would have moved to the base with my husband because then I would have other military spouses around who (from my experience) are much more supportive and caring.

I should mention that she was never like this before I moved back home. We used to talk to each other everyday on the phone. I have also asked her if I have done anything to upset her. She told me no, but nothing has changed and I still feel very alone, hurt, and a little crazy for feeling this way because she assures me nothing is wrong.
