Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
What you describe was the pattern for me between 2009 - 10. I got very worried about having them on such a regular basis, although in cluster type clumps for between 5 and 10 days. So I went to my doctor and mentioned it to a specialist I see for an autoimmune condition. Both said this can happen and it will settle down again.
It did and I am currently going through a "hardly any at all" patch. This too will, as the saying goes, pass.....However, I do take a lot of vitamins and nowadays take an occasional herbal remedy to help me get more sleep as I think this helps too. Weather patterns and light changes are triggers but I expect you know your personal triggers by now.
Brain fog seems to be a rather more common pattern as I age....But yes, always after a patch of migraine auras.
