Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
Keep in mind that you can have your friend tell you all about it with all of the details. take care and hope you feel better soon!
Two weeks ago I had a migraine and was supposed to be at a lecture (with 520 of my best friends, haha) and then go to a luncheon. Trying to be strong, I took my medication and went to the lecture, mid-way through I got so tired from the medication I kept thinking what can I do? There were sofas in the lobby, I could go rest on them. I wasn't sure how I would be able to drive home. I somehow got a second wind and got thru it.
All of this to say YOU DID THE RIGHT THING. It is still very disappointing though. Some things you just can't fake and having a migraine and putting on a smiley face sometimes just can't be done most of the time.
