Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
Did someone recently mention that you can often have a reaction up to 72 hours after eating something?
I made brownies on Friday night. I have eaten a few each day since then and a tiny piece today.
I was amazed that I had no adverse effects or start of a migraine until this afternoon. My neck and shoulders started tensing up after driving on the highway. I notice this happens a lot while driving on the highway.
This evening, I put heat on my neck and it seems better but I took a Relpax anyway so I can sleep on it (otherwise I would be dopey tomorrow if I took it during the day).
So as is typical - I can't tell if I feel this way from brownies or driving or because it was time for a migraine (7 days).

So, where was I? I'm finally "cleansing" my life to a point where I can tell what on earth is setting me off. I went on a cleanse for 21 days (torture!). I had an immediate reaction for the first time today. I've gone off and on chocolate and today is the first time where I felt like I KNEW it was the chocolate bar that set off this pain spiral.
I've never been so happy to have an allergic reaction! :) I wish you wisdom and knowledge!!
I am definitely wondering if I get a very delayed reaction to caffeine.
