Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
Marijuana has been used for migraines for centuries. And was seen as beneficial for it until the Harrison Act pegged it as bad. Even if it does abort it fully, it can be used for pain control and nausea, easing the symptoms until it goes away on its own (which is what we are often doing with our pain medicine now).
What I will say is - after you partake, make sure you stay in the dark for awhile. Your pupils dilate and let more light in, and when you have a migraine, it is pretty much the last thing you want. The light can retrigger you.
They have dispensaries in California. All over the place. But they are raided and people arrested all the time. The DEA does not care about state law, only federal. So, know that even if you get a prescription, you are risking being busted for a felony.
Take care,
Laura
I wish it MJ was legalized already! It is so ridiculous. Doctors recommend it to patients for various reasons but can't help them get it!
I hope you are able to find a way to get some.
