Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
I don't mean to sound rude. Well maybe I do. We on this board have had migraine for YEARS, and I will tell you that blood pressure medication is one of the FIRST medications even just a regular neurologist will put you as a preventative for migraines. And I'm sure those of us who have been dealing with chronic migraines have been on more blood pressure medicine that you ever know existed.
I'm glad it has worked for you, but please stop calling it a cure. It's just like people who say that drinking more water was a cure for them. Believe me WE ARE HAPPY FOR YOU, WE REALLY, TRULY ARE. But if these things were really cure, there would be zero people on this forum. In fact, this forum wouldn't exist.
Maybe someday there will be a real cure for migraines so doctors won't have to use so many meds meant for other conditions (off label) to give us relief.
