Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
It is also possible that something in your daily life, whether it is especially stressful right now, or you're in a room under certain lights all day, or you have poor posture at the computer...might be causing it. You definitely need to start investigating triggers. I'll give you a link to a headache diary at the end of this post, but you're going to want to keep extra notes every day about what happened that day. (What were you doing? Where were you when the headache finally hit? Where were you an hour before? Does it hit earlier on any other day?)
Also, you need to go see your doctor, preferably to get a referral to a neurologist. Daily headaches are not normal, and there are many medications you can take. And if you let this go - the migraine cycle is more likely to stick, and your entire body is more open to pain. At this point you are a candidate for preventative medication.
