Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
My migraines, like many of yours, have been getting worse and worse. Oftentimes, I wake up with a migraine but feel too miserable (pain, dizzy or nauseous) at 4am to go downstairs to get water and crackers to take with the pill.
For Christmas I decided it would be SO helpful to have a compact refrigerator in my bedroom. I spend a lot of time here because I have a sitting area, TV, desk and computer too.
I also ordered one with a freezer so I could put my ice gel for my head in there, have drinks (water to keep hydrated too) and some protein food.
Right now, I am waiting for it to arrive (it has to be shipped). I feel like I am becoming more and more a recluse. I no longer just run to the store any day or time I want. I have to first evaluate if I feel up to driving, if the medication would interfere, how many stops do I have to make etc.
I just can't believe my life has changed like this.
Has any one else gotten a fridge to keep close for those times when going the distance is almost impossible?

I am so sorry that you are having to stay in your room. I have to do that on the weekends just to make it through. Give the doggies some bones and lay down.LOL Hubby works, so I don't have to worry about him.
