Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
I am really sorry you struggle SO MUCH! You live in an area with great medical care. Have you been to a pain clinic yet?
Also, I know this sounds elementary but are you well hydrated? I know for myself, I never drink enough.
i found out i was chemically sensitive and i have to stay away from all fragrances/chemicals. all shampoo, deoderant, laundry detergent etc has to be fragrance free and all natural. even cleaners for your home.
also all natural organic foods.
all of my close family/friends has to be completely fragrance free or it triggers a migraine.
just thought i'd add this in case it helps,

anyway, have u heard of this thing called 'oil pullig'? it sounds like it may be disgusting, but ive tried it and it helped me reduce the intensity of my headaches, and frequency too. of course, not totally eliminating them, but it worked to some extent. google it - its a natural process and doesnt required intake of anything. u just use it in ur mouth and spit it out.
We are both in the same boat where our migraines are caused by a physical problem..and we are stuck this way for life...nothing can be done to "fix" it. So yes, it is up to us to figure out the best way to deal with it. For me, half the battle is that I am so pissed off because my migraines are from a TBI caused by a drunk driver. I am stuck with 24/7 migraines for being in the wrong place at the wrong time..not fair.
We'll stick together..keep laughing and try to distract our thoughts from the pain like we do.
Shelley is right...lots of water.
Take care Dan...love you tons my friend!
