Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
Sounds like you are going through a very nasty time bless your heart. It is so hard to describe to others what you are feeling when they may not have a clue what you are talking about... Unfortunately for me and fortunately for you... I know where you are coming from.
My name is Nikki... I had chronic severe migraine plus other neurological pain for a long time... I've had Botox and nerve blockers etc. All I can say is give Botox time... It can take time for your nervous system to calm down. Sometimes nerve blocks do not work but don't panic... The art to this nagging, stabbing pain is 'keep calm'... There are 4 very interesting treatments in the pipeline concerning pain receptors and neurotoxins... just never give up. There will be good days and there will be answers...
If I see you again I will say hi. If there is anything I can do to encourage you please just respond to this post.
We are in this thing together... You are not alone.
Nikki x
Good luck to you!
