Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
My neurologist moved to another state. Now I have to find another. I hate getting to know a new doctor. You can spend year trying all the prophylactics ..... "try this"...... 3 months later you're saying it didn't work and they want you to try something else.....anyhow who are the best migraine doctors. Go ahead and brag about yours. If I'm lucky one will be near me.
My migraines started in 1990 and have kept going and I went through so many "migraine specialists." Until one day I found the neurologist that is with my HMO and handles the chronic severe migraines and is really up on all the latest. What a fantastic person and he does occipital neural blocks, botox and he gets sample drugs to give to his patients.
So I understand what you mean about finding really great migraine doctors.
