Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
The two risk factors are not related. If a person is migraine triggered by peanuts, they should probably avoid peanut oil.
It is quite possible for a person to be triggered to migraine by peanuts and not be bothered by peanut oil due to the fact that the use of peanut oil usually involves heating it to very high temperatures, thereby changing its properties some way.
If you are allergic to peanuts, avoid them and their byproducts (oil). If you are triggered to migraine by peanuts, avoid them but to conclude you would also be triggered by peanut oil may be in error.
Best thing, in my opinion, is to experiment on your own and try to determine first hand if peanut oil is OK or not.
"I know peanuts are one of the worst triggers"
is true for SOME and not others.
I know that one of my triggers for nuts is walnuts but I can eat peanuts all day everyday & nothing.
itchy101, do you think it's the peanut oil or the movie screen itself?
